After reading each chapter each student in the group will take on one of the following roles:
1.Question Asker – this individual is responsible for coming up with several questions to ask the group that will be sure the readers comprehend the chapter
Reader must develop at least 5 questions that allow a good discussion of the chapter’s information
2.Main Idea Finder – this individual will write one complete paragraph that summarizes what was learned in the chapter
Reader must write a paragraph that summarizes the chapter. The paragraph must include a topic sentence, supporting sentences and a concluding sentence
3.Visualizer – this individual will draw a sketch that highlights a portion of the chapter reading
Reader must draw a picture that illustrates a portion of the chapter
4.Vocab Builder – this individual will select four words from the chapter that are new or interesting and define them for the group
Reader must find and define at least four words from the chapter
Each activity is worth 10 points
Due dates will be announced throughout the activity
Final project will be student's choice of one of the following R.A.F.T.'s
